Learn in public. Build for the long term.

My work sits at the intersection of data architecture, software engineering and applied AI. At Mendel, I design Data & AI platforms that teams can operate, understand and improve. My academic background is in database systems at Universidad Tecnológica Nacional.

I contribute production capabilities across Apache Software Foundation projects. In Apache Airflow, I authored merged native integrations for Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Runtime, Google Cloud Vertex AI Agent Engine and Microsoft Azure AI Foundry Agents, along with operator work across core AWS services including DMS, ECR and Glue.

In Apache Magpie, I strengthened agent-assisted code review by requiring evidence-based dependency findings and repository-specific remediation.

My official GitHub profile is github.com/AlejandroMorgante, where I publish open-source work and maintain a public contribution trail.

I was also recognized at the 2025 Harvard Health Systems Innovation Lab Hackathon for work on high-value health systems through AI.

Current focus

The problems I keep returning to.

01

Data platforms

Architectures that connect ingestion, transformation, governance, observability and consumption without hiding operational cost.

02

Agentic systems

AI agents with explicit tools, boundaries and human review loops that solve real workflow problems.

03

Open source

Reusable integrations and provider capabilities that make modern cloud services operable from Apache Airflow.
